Situated in the Gulf of Thailand Koh Phangan is sister island to the World renowned tourist destination of Koh Samui which attracts in excess of one million visitors every year. Like Samui, Phangan has enjoyed substantial year on year growth in visitor numbers and is well know in its own right for its monthly World famous Full Moon Party held on Haad Rin beach. Due to its vibrant party scene some have dubbed Phangan the Ibiza of the east and although it has a long way to go to match this label it might just make it.
